Robert Moog was married to Shirleigh Moog (m. 1958–1994), and Ileana Grams.
Moog had four children Renee Moog, Matthew Moog, Laura Moog Lanier and Michelle Moog-Koussa.

Robert has studied in Queens College, City University of New York, and was 1957 passed out.
